Solid food for Babies

Today we are going to talk about what you feed your baby when they start to eat solid foods.

Parents spend most of their life making sure their precious little bundle is safe, cozy, and comfortable. Why then, do I see these fabulous, nurturing parents feeding their babies junk food? It kills me. There are going to be certain foods your health care provider tells you babies should not eat. I will add to that list. Junk food. Cute little packages marketed with cute little baby things on them.

I was a busy, working mother of toddlers at one point. I understand it takes a significant amount of time and effort to prepare snacks and meals for these little sweeties that cannot yet chew. Please know that every single thing they eat is the building block of their cells. What they eat impacts how they sleep, grow, learn, heal, communicate, and mature. Why oh why set your kids up on a shaky foundation in life? Do not fall for the cute packaged things that your sister-in-law fed her kids. Pay attention. Read the labels. Check out my guide on reading labels or my blog post explaining more.

There are so many resources out there to making your own baby/toddler food that will save you money and peace of mind knowing what goes into it. Reading labels and making your own food will get easier and become a habit. You can start with one thing at a time. If it all seems too overwhelming get in touch with me and we can work together. One of my quotes that falls under Mama knows things 🌸 is “the work you put in with your children before age 10 will be evident after age 10”.
